This article is about why people are acting like they have perfect lives and only showing their selves in perfect form, not when they are just living their lives. This article uses example such as “people want to act like they do not eat a lot, so they post photos of artisanal salads” and “Why don’t people feel its necessary to post photos of themselves shaving their dogs or with wet hair.” I feel like people want to look better in the photos they take and make people feel like they are always having fun to make them seem more interesting.

This article is about young adults portraying happiness and also deciding how much of their lives to share, or keep private. When you are only posting photos of all of the fun and exciting things you do, you make be faking a lifestyle that is not really that way. It speaks about not posting all of the undesirable things in your life, but to keep it more realistic and human. No one is perfect in every way.

People are more connected than ever. The writer talks about how he used to receive more that 15-20 phone calls a day because that was the only means of communication. Now most people have more than 10 forms of communication and use them all daily. You can even connect with people you have never even met before and make them think you are a totally different person.

Most people only show their ideal self on social media. Other people’s perception of ourselves is more important than ever. We see and look up to these social media celebrities and it makes us want to actually become something like them in our own way. People are taking ideas and marketing skills from one and other and using them in their own way. People do not want to be their “real self” but instead their “Ideal Self.” This article also offers tips to consider while using social networking.

This article speaks about how much more woman are interactive with social media than men. When people are reading and searching through social media for content is it one thing, but when it becomes obsessive and makes you upset, it becomes a problem People need to focus on their own dreams and not worry about what other people are doing. It simply makes people jealous and makes them loose their self-esteem and brings people down.

I will/can go more in depth when I am writing the paper.
